The production and distribution studio behind “Hannibal” renews its CEO's contract, announces EVP hire and additional promotion
Gaumont International Television, the company behind “Hannibal” and “Hemlock Grove,” announced a contract renewal for its top executive, a new hire and a promotion.
Chief Executive Officer Katie O'Connell will continue overseeing the Los Angeles-based production and distribution studio after her contract was renewed, according to a company statement Monday.
Gaumont also hired Sam Semon as executive vice president of Business Operations. Semon joins GIT from FremantleMedia North America, where he served as vice president, Business & Legal Affairs. In the role, he provided business and legal counsel on series for CBS, Disney/ABC, Sony Pictures Television International and others.
The company also promoted Elisa Roth from head of creative affairs to president, Creative/Production.
European parent company Gaumont, formed in 1895, boasts a film library of over 900 titles.
