Gene Simmons’ wife and daughter are getting their licks in with a new Canadian reality show.

Shannon Tweed-Simmons and Sophie Simmons, the spouse and spawn, respectively, of ample-tongued KISS bassist Gene Simmons, have signed on for an unscripted offering that will air on Canada’s W Network.

The series, which begins production in December, will premiere next year. The as-yet-untitled offering will focus on Shannon on Sophie’s differing personalities — Shannon, as a former Playboy Playmate with a career in acting and modeling, and Sophie, as a straight-A student who runs a children’s charity in Vancouver.

“In the new series, the duo will show that despite their differences they remain best friends – and when it comes to what they want, they don’t take no for an answer,” Force Four Entertainment, which is producing the show, said in a press release.

The celebrities and personalities that the pair (pictured above, with proud papa Gene in the middle) encounter will also play a part on the show. Family patriarch Simmons will make regular cameo appearances on the show, which will be shot primarily in Los Angeles, Vancouver and Whistler.

“‘Soph and I have a great relationship and filming together is always such fun, I’m thrilled we’ll now have our own show.” Shannon said.

Added Sophie, ”It’s amazing the friendship my mom and I have. She’s my rock, my best friend and even though we are very different, ultimately we agree on the important things in life. I’m excited to start shooting and give viewers a glimpse into our world.”

In addition to the upcoming project, the pair also appeared on seven seasons of the reality offering “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” which aired on A&E.
