Three-time Daytime Emmy winner joins fellow “Y&R” alums Michelle Stafford, Marci Rylan and Maura West at the ABC soap
Billy Miller is checking into “General Hospital.”
The daytime veteran, best known for playing Billy Abbott on “The Young and the Restless” and Richie Novak on “All My Children,” has signed on with the ABC daytime drama. He’s taking over the role of Jason Morgan, most notably played by Steve Burton, who now plays Dylan McAvoy on Miller’s former CBS soap “Y&R.”
Miller takes up the role at an interesting juncture for the character of Morgan; previously thought to be dead, Morgan’s body was never found, and now he’s returning for what’s been called “an exciting new story” that ABC says will be full of twists, turns and shocking revelations.
“I am really excited to be working with such a talented and acclaimed actor as Billy,” “General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini said. “Our cast is thrilled that he will be joining our ‘General Hospital’ family, and I know that he will be an amazing addition to our talented cast.”
Miller joins fellow “Young and the Restless” alums Michelle Stafford, Emme Rylan and Maura West on the ABC sudser.
Miller has taken home three Daytime Emmys during his career, for Outstanding Supporting Acttor in a Drama Series in 2010 and 2014 and this year for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
