‘Genius’ Trailer: Colin Firth Thinks Jude Law’s Book Is Too Damn Long (Video)

Michael Grandage directed the literary drama, which co-stars Nicole Kidman, Laura Linney and Guy Pearce

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the first trailer for Michael Grandage‘s literary drama “Genius,” which stars Colin Firth, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Laura Linney.

“Genius” explores the complex friendship and transformative professional relationship between the world-renowned book editor Maxwell Perkins (Firth) and the larger-than-life literary giant Thomas Wolfe (Law).

Guy Pearce and Dominic West co-star as authors F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway, respectively — both of whom were discovered by Perkins.

John Logan (“Gladiator”) wrote the script, which is based on the biography “Max Perkins: Editor of Genius” by A. Scott Berg. The film debuted to mixed reviews at the Berlin Film Festival, and will hit theaters on June 10.
