George Clooney, Britt Robertson Escape Androids in New ‘Tomorrowland’ Trailer (Video)

Extended previews of the fantasy film are debuting in IMAX Theaters beginning May 1

Disney gave audiences another glimpse of “Tomorrowland” on Tuesday with the release of a new trailer.

In the preview, Casey (Britt Robertson) goes to the home of reclusive genius Frank (George Clooney) to learn the origins of a mysterious pin she found that transports her to a fantastical place called Tomorrowland whenever she touches it.

Before Frank can offer any answers, however, his house comes under attack from heavily-armed android assailants. They quickly break through Frank’s defenses, but he uses a few well-placed booby traps to slow them down.

After he and Casey escape, Frank says in a voiceover, “You wanted to see Tomorrowland. Here it comes.”

Additionally, a special presentation of the film, featuring more than six minutes of footage to be introduced by director Brad Bird, will screen exclusively in IMAX theatres domestically, and in select international markets beginning May 1.

The extended first look at “Tomorrowland” will screen directly prior to Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and will play for the duration of that film’s run in IMAX.

Bird, a two time Oscar-winner also co-wrote the script along with “Lost” and “Star Trek” scribe Damon Lindelof. “Tomorrowland” opens in theaters on May 22.
