Gilbert Gottfried’s Advice: ‘Observe Everything I Do and Do the Opposite’

Comedian speaks out after firing as Aflac duck for comments about Japan

Gilbert Gottfried knows he ducked up.

The comedian — who was relieved of his duties as the Aflac duck earlier this week due to jokes he’d tweeted about the Japanese tsumani, spoke to “Inside Edition” to offer advice to other aspiring comedians.

“Observe everything I do and do the opposite!” he said.

Gottfried said he has received some high-profile support, however.

“Howard Stern was very nice.,” Gottfried says. “He spoke in favor of me, and Joan Rivers and Whoopi Goldberg.”
