‘Girls’ Posts Nudity-Free Season 4 Teaser (Video)

Preview finds Hannah Horvath biking around what seems to be… Iowa?

“Girls” is back in production, and HBO announced as much with a short teaser video showing Hannah Horvath biking along what seems to be the University of Iowa.

Season 3 ended with Hannah getting admitted to the school’s celebrated Iowa Writers Workshop. The teaser finds Hannah, played by executive producer Lena Dunham, bicycling along what seems like the campus, or at least a stand-in for the campus.

Lost in her thoughts, Hannah suddenly falls — or does Dunham fall? Or is it her stunt double?

As either Dunham or her double lies on the ground, crew members and someone also dressed as Hannah arrives to take the fallen Hannah’s place.

“Stay right there,” someone tells Hannah-in-the-grass. “Miss Dunham, I’m ready for you.” He seems to be preparing to switch Hannahs.

The teaser represents the duality of writer and performer, creator and creation, stunt double and not-stunt double. There’s no date yet for the Season 4 premiere, in which we’re confident all these complexities will be worked out.
