Matt Passmore is rebounding from the cancelation of “The Glades.”
The actor has been cast as the lead in former “Suits” showrunner Sean Jablonski’s untitled pilot for USA Network.
Passmore will play Neil Truman, an investment banker who attempts to satisfy his married mid-life crisis by quitting his job and redefining himself and his relationships.
Before starring on A&E’s “The Glades” for four seasons, the Australian actor starred on “Blue Heelers,” “Mcleod’s Daughter” and “Underbelly.”
The untitled project will be executive produced by Jablonski with Universal Cable Productions.
Currently, USA has several pilots in contention for series pickups, including “Complications” from “Burn Notice” creator Matt Nix, “The Novice” from Joe and Tony Gayton (“Hell on Wheels”), “Rush” from Jonathan Levine (“Warm Bodies”), and “Horizon” from Gale Ann Hurd (“Walking Dead”) and Bridget Tyler (“Burn Notice”).
Passmore is represented by WME, ROAR, and RGM in Australia.
