Glenn Beck is headed to Texas, and he is bringing both his family and a new studio with him.
Beck left the Fox News Channel at the end of June as his ratings declined and the patience of FNC executives waned. His next venture is a new online network, GBTV, that will feature a two-hour program that is expected to be a lot like Beck's one-hour show on FNC.
As part of the new project, Beck is building a new radio and television studio in Dallas — though that does not mean he is abandoning his New York offices.
Before his move to Texas, Beck stopped in Israel Monday to appear before the Israeli parliament, the Knesset. In front of the Immigration, Absorption, and Diaspora Affairs Committe, Beck reiterated his support for Israel, his fear of rising anti-Semitism and his belief in the possibility of a two-state solution.
Beck's initial reason for visiting Israel is his upcoming "Restoring Courage" rally in Jerusalem.
