The new co-host's duties began early when she welcomed ABC's cameras to her home
Paula Faris began her first day on the job as “GMA Weekend” co-host on Saturday.
She was welcomed by a very complimentary introduction from co-host Dan Harris, who called it “the dawning of the Paula Faris era.”
Then, viewers found out that the new co-hosts have had some time to bond. In a welcome package called “The Story of Paula,” Harris spent some time with Faris and her kids at their home and even in their SUV.

Faris, a longtime sports reporter, joins “GMA Weekend” after covering The World Cup. She is also known for her “Real Money” reports, which shows families how to save money and how much they'll save.
She replaces Bianna Golodryga, who left for a job at Yahoo! as its news and finance anchor.
“ET's” Rob Marciano will soon join the “GMA Weekend” team as its senior meteorologist, as TheWrap exclusively reported back in July.
