‘Godzilla’ Meets ‘Pacific Rim’ in Fan-Made Trailer (Video)

Giant-monster movies both came from Legendary Pictures, making “Paczilla” a logical mash-up

With “Godzilla” back on the big screens from Legendary Pictures, some fans couldn’t help but think back to 2013’s “Pacific Rim.” That film was also a production of Legendary Pictures, and it also featured giant monsters wreaking havoc across the land.

“Rim” also introduced the Jaegers, giant mecha controlled by human pilots that could go out and fight those monsters. So one fan decided to combine these worlds, and have the Jaegers face off against the likes of Godzilla and his cadre of fellow irradiated giant monsters in a trailer for a non-existent “Paczilla” film.

Of course, should these worlds ever meet, the Jaegers might find themselves having to ally with the “King of the Monsters” to take on more giant creatures that are destroying the world.

While both films are at least discussing sequels, there is no reason to believe that they would think to combine their giant monster worlds … yet.
