Ratings: ‘Golan the Insatiable’ Debut Shows Audience Has Little Appetite for New Fox Series

Premiere pulls in just 1.6 million total viewers

Golan the Insatiable

Fox’s new animated series “Golan the Insatiable” left few viewers satiated on Sunday, despite not having much competition at all.

That said, to be fair, “Golan” premiered after a string of reruns. Still, the only other original broadcast TV show was the second half of NBC’s “AD: The Bible Continues.” There likely isn’t much crossover viewership between the two options at 9:30 p.m.

NBC finished first in the key 18-49 ratings demographic last night, CBS topped total viewers.

NBC was first in ratings with a 0.9 rating/3 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 7 p.m., “Dateline” had a night-high 1.0/4 and got 6.1 million viewers. At 8, “AD” received a 0.9/3 and 4.8 million viewers. “American Odyssey” at 10 posted a 0.5/2 and 3 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 0.7/2 and third in viewers with 3.6 million, airing entirely reruns.

CBS, Fox and Univision tied for third in ratings, all with a 0.6/2. CBS was first in total viewers with 5.4 million total viewers; Fox was fourth with 1.6 million; Univision was sixth with 1.45 million.

For CBS, “60 Minutes” at 7 posted a 0.8/3 and primetime-best 7.9 million viewers. Repeats followed.

For Fox, following reruns, “Golan” received a 0.6/2 and 1.6 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and fifth in viewers with 1.5 million.
