‘Gold Rush’ Season Finale: Parker’s Crew Fights to Avoid First Failure Yet (Exclusive Video)

That’s when the ice hits the fan

Parker Schnabel’s mining crew has never missed its lofty season-long goal — that might all change Friday on Discovery’s “Gold Rush” finale.

Everything is frozen at this point: the equipment, the ground, and the men. The extreme temperature doesn’t mix well with tons of water, causing a near disaster on the wash plant. Scaling the icy structure to repair the damage is as dangerous as it gets.

“We’ll kill ourselves trying to keep this going,” one of Parker’s key crew members says in the exclusive sneak peek above, which is exclusive to TheWrap.

While they eventually shut the operation down, all is well that seemingly ends well: Schnabel records the biggest gold weigh of his life tonight, per Discovery.

Of course, Parker’s gang is not the only one scrambling in rough and risky conditions. Elsewhere, a a bareknuckle fight on the Hoffman claim ends in recriminations, and resignations.

Watch the video above, and tune in to Friday’s top show for men tonight at 9/8c for the two-hour season finale.
