There's enough of a break in the hostilities between the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions that next year's Golden Globe Awards will be aired on NBC Jan. 15, 2012, the HFPA and Dick Clark Productions announced Friday.
Dick Clark Productions will produce the pre-show and the main show.
While that's good enough for next year's show, disagreements remain between the two sides about the future of the broadcast.
The association, which puts on the Golden Globes, sued Dick Clark Productions in November. That litigation continues.

But getting the show aired in 2012 has brought the two sides together, at least for now. In a joint statement, they said, "The parties are pleased to have reached an agreement relating to the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, while preserving their respective positions."
The respective positions are pretty far apart.
The HFPA says that Dick Clark Productions devised a sneaky way to renew its contract to air the annual awards show. The production house signed a new contract with NBC to keep airing the show through 2018. Dick Clark Productions says that when it extended its contract with NBC, it automatically extended its contract with the HFPA.
But the HFPA said Dick Clark Productions didn't have the authority to do that. The association claims that Dick Clark Productions didn't consult with HFPA leadership before negotiating the new NBC contract.
Under that contract, the two companies would receive an average of $21.5 million for every awards show. That revenue would be split evenly after overhead costs are removed, but the HFPA believes that the production company is being overpaid.
The case was set to go to trial this week, but has been put on hold for at least a month because the judge became ill.
Next year's Golden Globe broadcast will air live on NBC from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. As it has for years, it'll beheld at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
Prior to the awards show, NBC will run a live, hourlong pre-show.
