Fans of “The Good Wife” were plunged into a state of shock Sunday, when Will Gardner (Josh Charles) was shot to death in a courtroom while defending murder suspect Jeffrey Grant (guest star Hunter Parrish).

So instead, we’ll tease you just to the point of climax with a bunch of almost-reveals. (Non-spoiler alert: You might need a cold shower afterward.)
1. Alicia Florrick reacts to Will’s death.
Yes, you knew this was coming — but how she reacts takes up a good portion of the episode, with Alicia (Julianna Margulies) attempting to come to grips with the tragic loss. In her case, it involves questioning the existence of a just god, with a side-dish of hallucination. (And, no, LSD isn’t involved.)

2. There’s an unanswered call to deal with.
No, the title of the episode has nothing to do with the end of the night at a bar. Central to the episode is a phone call — cut vexingly short — from Will to Alicia, in the moments before his death. We really can’t tell you anything about the call, because the episode itself ultimately leaves the call’s purpose of the phone message up in the air, but Alicia’s episode-long effort to unravel the mystery is a fascinating voyage.
3. The episode actually contains some humor.
And it involves Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) mistaking himself for Peter Florrick’s wife. ‘Nuff said.

4. Diane pulls a big move.
In the aftermath of Will’s death, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) makes a really big decision about one of Will’s clients, and it’s a ballsy one. Or as David Lee (Zach Grenier) notes afterward, “Turned me on.”
5. Kalinda is pretty good at torture.
Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi) pays a visit to Grant — pretty much the one and only suspect in Will’s death — while he’s being detained and on suicide watch, and finds the perfect way to make him pay for his presumed crime, without really making him pay. If this law thing doesn’t work out, she could probably make a pretty good living as a dominatrix.
