‘Gossip Girl’ Producer Alloy Expands Into Film, Hires New TV Exec

NBC’s Girolamo will head up TV; Levy to run film

Red-hot Alloy Entertainment ("The Vampire Diaires") is expanding, hiring ex-NBC exec Gina Girolamo as senior VP of television and promoting Bob Levy to exec VP of film.

Both will work with Alloy’s CEO, Leslie Morgenstein, who announced the hires Wednesday.

Levy had been Alloy’s west coast chief, developing shows such as "Vampire," "Gossip Girl" and the upcoming "Pretty Little Liars." He’ll now work solely in film, including Alloy’s upcoming "Au Pairs," now in development via Flower Films and Warner Bros.

Girolamo was most recently VP of comedy at NBC, working on shows such as "My Name Is Earl." She’ll develop projects via Alloy’s first look deal at Warner Bros.

Other changes at Alloy include tapping Andrew Wang as VP of television and Polly Auritt as director of development for film.

“As Alloy’s filmed entertainment grows exponentially every year, it’s a necessity for us to have two separate film and television development teams focused on their specific areas," Morgenstein said. "Bob has brought much success to our television slate, and we are counting on that same insight and success to break us through in film. Gina’s success and relationships within the television community is exactly what Alloy needs to take us to the next level as both producers developing our own projects and a productions company with a continually growing on-air slate.”

Alloy Entertainment has a first look television deal at Warner Bros. Television.

Earlier this week, Alloy promoted Josh Bank to president, east coast, and started a new digital division staffed by VP Tripp Reed.
