‘Grease Is the Word’ in New Teaser for Fox’s ‘Grease: Live’ (Video)

Musical airs Sunday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. ET

The stars of “Grease: Live” give a glimpse of their behind-the-scenes preparations in a new teaser for the upcoming Fox musical.

In the clip, the cast — led by Julianne Hough, who plays the angelic Sandy, and Aaron Tveit, who plays bad boy Danny Zuko — show off some of their dance moves during rehearsals for the live show, set to air Jan. 31.

The teaser also gives a short preview of Jessie J’s rendition of “Grease Is the Word.”

The duo is joined by Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, Keke Palmer as Marty Maraschino, Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie, Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy, Kether Donohue as Jan, David Del Rio as Putzie, Jordan Fisher as Doody and Andrew Call as Sonny.

The Paramount Television production will be directed on stage by Thomas Kail, and on TV by Alex Rudzinski. Broadway writers Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins wrote the script.

“Grease: Live” airs Sunday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. ET on Fox.
