Gregory Hoblit is attached to direct the heist drama "Robbing the Grave," the filmmaker's representation at WME has confirmed to TheWrap.
Karl Gajdusek and Michael Finch wrote the spec script, which It's On the Grid describes as a cross between "Ocean's 11" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
The official logline is being kept under wraps, though according to IOTG, the film carries the tagline: "Everyone's going to die, but it's how you get there that matters."
BenderSpink will produce the project, while is currently out to buyers.
Hoblit is best known for directing the crime classic "Primal Fear," as well as a string of serviceable one-word thrillers including "Fallen," "Frequency," "Fracture" and most recently, "Untraceable."
Gajdusek recently wrote Joel Schumacher's upcoming thriller "Trespass," which stars Oscar winners Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman.
Finch and writing partner Alex Litvak recently received sole credit for writing Nimrod Antal's "Predators," and they also collaborated New Regency's "Medieval," which is in development with McG attached to produce. The duo just sold a pitch for a deep-space thriller to 20th Century Fox for high six-figures. "Wanted" director Timur Bekmambetov is reportedly circling the project. Finch and Litvak are currently writing "He-Man: Masters of the Universe" for Sony and Mattel.
Hoblit and Gajdusek are represented by BenderSpink, while Finch is repped by Verve.
