‘The Grinder’ Teases Post-Coma Reunion for Rob Lowe, Emmanuelle Chriqui (Exclusive Video)

Actors rekindle their onscreen romance in Fox sitcom’s show-within-a-show new cold open

“The Grinder’s” latest show-within-a-show cold open teases a soap opera classic — someone waking up from a years-long coma.

Emmanuelle Chriqui returns to the role of Addison Cross on the show-within-a-show in the Fox sitcom.

This time, Addison has inexplicably awakened from a two-year-long coma, only to be greeted by Rob Lowe‘s onscreen character, Mitch Grinder.

The two waste no time in resuming their torrid affair, while off screen, Lowe’s actor character, Dean Sanderson, is finding himself having to compete with his TV alter-ego for the attention of his date.

The newest episode of “The Grinder” will also feature an appearance by Christina Applegate.

“The Grinder” airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
