‘Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever’ Gifts the Internet With First Trailer (Video)

Aubrey Plaza voices the miserable feline in Lifetime’s new holiday movie

The claws are out this Christmas as the Internet’s favorite cat meme gets its own holiday movie on Lifetime. Aubrey Plaza provides the voice of Grumpy Cat in a new trailer that shows the snarky feline as a young kitten being adopted by a little girl.

Young Chrystal, played by actress Megan Charpentier, has a holiday wish for, “a friend – one on whom I can depend.” Little does she know what a scrooge her four-legged companion actually is.

“You really screwed up your big wish,” Grumpy Cat tells her new owner.

Unlike the rest of the world, Chrystal can hear her cat’s rotten thoughts. Their connection brings the pair closer together, despite Grumpy’s disdain for just about everything.

Grumpy Cat proves to be too cool even for her own movie, at one point saying: “Don’t get sappy on me. Wait I forgot, it’s a Lifetime movie.”

“Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever” airs on Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
