Marvel has finalized its lead cast for Disney XD’s upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” animated series.

Vanessa Marshall (“Star Wars Rebels”) will voice Gamora. James Arnold Taylor (“Star Wars: Clone Wars”) will lend his talents to two characters: the hunter Yondu and the tough dog Cosmo.

Yondu was portrayed by “The Walking Dead” actor Michael Rooker in the super blockbuster film.

On Tuesday, Marvel and Disney Channel PR kicked off series’ cast announcements on Twitter by naming Kevin Michael Richardson (“The Cleveland Show”) as Groot and Trevor Devall (“Eternals”) as Rocket Raccoon. Will Friedle (“Boy Meets World”) and David Sobolov (“Transformers Prime”) were added to voice Star-Lord and Drax, respectively.

“This is a very exciting time for the Marvel Animation Studio as we get to explore the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe by developing the first-ever ‘Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy’ animated series,” head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb said during New York Comic Con last year. “After starring in the biggest movie of 2014, everyone wants more of Star-Lord and his crew — now they’ll get it.”

The series will air later this year. The Marvel live-action superhero film, which also starred Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Dave Bautista, amassed more than $774 million worldwide. A sequel to the film is expected to hit theaters 2017.
