Chris Miller shares image of character’s blaster gun for May the Fourth

Star Wars The Force Awakens

Christopher Miller got into the “Star Wars” Day spirit with a teaser image of a blaster gun that presumably comes from the standlone Han Solo movie that he will direct.

“Can’t wait to get ‘shooting’! #MayThe4thBeWithYou,” Miller tweeted, referencing the unofficial holiday in which fans the world over celebrate all things “Star Wars.” Miller then shared an image of Solo’s trademark blaster weapon.

Little is known about the plot of the Han Solo movie, other than it will focus on the origins of Solo and Chewbacca and how they became the kind of smugglers who could make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.

It was not initially known if Chewie would appear in the new film, but Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed the news back in March while speaking about “Rogue One.”

“‘Rogue One’ … is about a band of rebels plotting to steal the plans to the Death Star,” Iger said. “It takes place right before what was George Lucas‘s first film, which came out in 1977 and is now called ‘A New Hope.’”

“We have others in the works, including one, which is an origin story about Han Solo and Chewie,” he continued. “And that’ll come after ‘Star Wars 8’ in 2018. And then there’ll be possibly be more thereafter.”
