‘Hangover Part III’ Poster Parodies ‘Harry Potter’ (Photos)

The first poster for the franchise's finale features Zach Galifianakis staring down Ken Jeong with Las Vegas burning in the background

Warner Bros. is positioning "The Hangover Part III" to be as dramatic as another one of its popular franchise finales, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

The first poster marketing the sequel to Todd Phillips' previous R-rated box office smashes features Wolkpack wild card Alan (Zach Galifianakis) staring down his enemy-turned-friend-turned-possible-frenemy Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong). The pose is a parody of Harry Potter facing off against Voldemort on the "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" poster, which Warner Bros. proudly displayed two years ago.

Bradley Cooper, who has since established himself as an Oscar-nominated actor, returns with Ed Helms and Justin Bartha to wreak havoc on whatever vacation destination they choose — which may be a few.

The synopsis of the movie is vague, but promising and reads: "This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off."

Based on the use of the word "bets" in the synopsis and Las Vegas burning in the background on the poster, it's safe to assume the gang will make a pit stop in Sin City at some point along the journey. But if the tagline is any indication, maybe "it all ends" where the trilogy began in 2009.

We'll find out when "The Hangover Part III" hits theaters on May 24.
