‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D’ Rolled Back to Jan. 25

Paramount already pushed back the release date in IMAX from March 2012 to Jan. 11, 2013

Paramount Pictures pushed back the release date for "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D" to Jan. 25.

The studio announced on Thursday that it will again push the release of the film in IMAX by two weeks. In January, Paramount moved the release from March 2012 to Jan. 11, 2013 to increase star Jeremy Renner's global visibility.

"The IMAX experience continues to be the most immersive and entertaining way to see films," Megan Colligan, Paramount's president of domestic marketing and distribution, said in a statement.

The film, which follows Hansel, played by Renner, and Gemma Arterton as Gretel, become vigilantes, hunting down witches despite the taste for blood they acquired as children.
