On the heels of signing a development deal with CBS Studios just seven months ago, Daniel Dae Kim and his production company 3AD have teamed with Anonymous Content to sell a crime drama, the Untitled Joe Wilson Project, to CBS. 3AD is also finalizing a deal with The CW for a female-driven drama series titled “Lotus,” individuals with knowledge of both deals told TheWrap.
Once the CW deal closes, 3AD will have sold three projects during the current development season. In August, it sold “The Good Doctor,” an adaptation of a Korean drama, to CBS.
In development with CBS TV Studios, the Untitled Joe Wilson Project hails from the long-time “NCIS: LA” veteran who currently serves as a supervising producer on the series. Wilson will pen the project in addition to serving as an executive producer. Kim will serve as an executive producer alongside Anonymous Content’s Doreen Wilcox-Little (“Killer Joe”).

The drama follows a Deputy D.A. who’s disgraced after losing a high-profile, controversial trial and moves back to her childhood home in L.A. where she pairs with a detective to solve local cases that are impenetrable to the police.
Meanwhile, “Lotus” will also be developed at CBS TV Studios. Adam Lash and Cori Uchida (“Helix,” “Sons of Anarchy”) will write the project with Kim set as an executive producer.
“Lotus” is a serialized one-hour drama that follows a young Japanese American woman’s attempt to rebuild her life in the aftermath of a family traged and the dark choices she must make as she’s presented with an offer she cannot refuse.

Founded by Kim, 3AD is led by head of development Lindsay Goffman, who is producing both projects. Kim is currently in his fifth year on the cast of CBS’s “Hawaii Five-O” and will soon be seen in the “Divergent” sequel “Insurgent.”
APA, Anonymous Content and attorney Keith A. Klevan represent Kim. Paradigm and Echo Lake rep Wilson, while Verve, Madhouse and attorney Bruce Gellman represent Lash and Uchida.
