HBO is offering Sunday’s record-breaking Season 4 premiere of “Game of Thrones” to all Xbox users for free, including those who do not subscribe to the pay TV network.
“Two Swords” will be available from Tuesday, April 8 through Monday, April 14 — to both HBO and non-HBO subscribers on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

HBO’s unusual offer comes as the episode has become a prime target for illegal downloading.
According to International Business Times, the season opener was being shared by 128,000 users on one torrent service alone by Monday afternoon, less than 24 hours after its premiere.

Last season’s finale of “Game of Thrones” was the most pirated show of 2013, with a whopping 5.9 million illegal downloads.
