HBO’s ‘The Leftovers’ Heads to Texas in Season 2 Trailer (Video)

Damon Lindelof drama starring Justin Theroux returns to HBO on Oct. 4

HBO released the second trailer for the Damon Lindelof drama “The Leftovers” on Thursday.

The teaser gives a glimpse of the Garvey family as they make the move from New York to Jarden, the small town in eastern Texas that was spared from the mysterious vanishing of two percent of the world’s population.

The second season see the return of stars Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, Margaret Qualley, Chris Zylka, Regina King, Kevin Carroll, Jovan Adepo and Janel Moloney.

The series is created by Lindelof (“Lost”) and Tom Perrotta, who executive produce with Mimi Leder, Tom Spezialy and Peter Berg. Jacqueline Hoyt, Gene Kelly, Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger serve as co-EPs. It is produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television.

“The Leftovers” Season 2 premieres on HBO Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET.
