Heidi Klum was surrounded by herself on Halloween — but some social-media critics apparently believe she was full of herself too.
The model/television personality, known for making waves with her Halloween costumes every year — decided to clone herself five times with the use of clever prosthetic work this year. The choice drew some heat on Twitter — and not for the ongoing debate over the ethics of cloning.
“So Heidi Klum cloned herself as a costume,” wrote one critic, who included a GIF of a disgusted, disappointed-looking Viola Davis grabbing her bag and heading for the door.
“Me to Heidi Klum right now,” added another critic, who included an anguished GIF that declared, “I was rooting for you! We were all rooting for you! How dare you!”
“Heidi and her clones . . ,” wrote yet another detractor, who posted a photo from the 2004 film “White Chicks.”
“Not impressed,” hissed another.
“Much disappointment,” another mudslinger lamented.
Klum’s Halloween costume is typically one of the most anticipated celebrity get-ups every year, though her choices haven’t been without controversy in the past. In 2008, Klum angered some Hindus with her depiction of the deity Kali.
