On Monday, the first images of Dwayne Johnson as Hercules were published online, but as we can see in this first new trailer, photos could not do justice to the insane physical peak that the former pro wrestler reached for his turn as the warrior hero.

Nor to the amazing headwear that he sports in director Brett Ratner‘s take on the Greek myth (spoiler alert: He rips the head off a lion and wears it as a hat).
Due out on July 25, “Hercules” is going up against a stiff tailwind of rough outings for sword-and-sandal films at the box office. But more trailers like this and it’ll be hard not to go see the movie, if just for the extreme curiosity factor.
