Last week marked the first time that the cable channel finished tops in women 25-54
For the first time in its history, HGTV spent a week as the top-rated cable network among women 25-54.
HGTV earned a 0.77 rating in the demo, and 0.55 among all viewers 25-54 from last Monday through Sunday. The latter measurement was large enough to land the home-oriented network in the top five on cable.
More than 21.8 million viewers watched the network in primetime from June 2 through June 8. The season 2 premiere of “Brother vs. Brother,” as well as “Flip or Flop,” “Fixer Upper” and “Beachfront Bargain Hunt,” drove ratings for the week.
The “Brother vs. Brother” Season 2 premiere earned a 0.68 rating. That’s down one-tenth of a rating point from the series premiere, which aired last July.
