Now this is one cable reality show we'd love to see Sarah Palin on.
History Channel announced on Monday that it will launch a new half-hour series, "Mounted in Alaska," April 7 that will focus on taxidermy.
The series will revolve around Russell Knight, owner of the family-run Knight's Taxidermy. The show will be fleshed out by Knight's "expert team of colorful craftsmen and outdoorsmen with a passion for preserving … wildlife and natural history."
According to History, "Mounted in Alaska" will expose viewers to the "true, pressure-packed process of what it takes to preserve natural history — all on a deadline — and always for a demanding client."
Between all of the taxidermy-centric drama, the series will weave in historical elements. An upcoming episode, for example, will feature Knight "working with Theodore Roosevelt’s personal taxidermy kit, which Roosevelt took with him into the field on his epic hunting expeditions."
The series is being produced by Leslie Greif's Thinkfactory Media.
