Holly Holm Welcomes a Ronda Rousey Rematch (Video)

“I’ll have to train twice as hard,” fighter tells Seth Meyers

Holly Holm has three words regarding a possible rematch against Ronda Rousey: Bring it on.

Or, more accurately, “I welcome it.”

UFC fighter Holm, who stunned the ultimate fighting world by defeating fighting phenomenon Ronda Rousey earlier this month, appeared on NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Monday and expressed her eagerness to take on Rousey again, should a rematch be scheduled.

“I welcome it,” Holm told host Meyers, adding that she can sympathize with Rousey in her defeat. “I’ve been on the other end of losing a bout before, getting knocked out and having to come back — I did avenge my loss, and I know that she’ll be wanting to do the same.”

Holm did acknowledge, however, that she will have her work cut out for her if a rematch occurs.

“I’ll have to train twice as hard,” she said. “She’ll be coming back. She’s a competitive person, and we all know that, so she’ll be coming back hard.”
