Hollywood Christmas Parade Rolls Into LA: TheWrap’s Guide to Street Closures

Stevie Wonder will serve as grand marshal, and the cast of NBC soap “Days of our Lives” is being honored

The 83rd annual Hollywood Christmas parade is set to bring a little holiday cheer to Los Angeles on Sunday evening, along with lots of street closures.

Thousands of people began lining the streets of Hollywood on Sunday afternoon, with the parade slated to get underway at 5 p.m.

Stevie Wonder will serve as this year’s grand marshal, and the cast of NBC soap “Days of our Lives” will be in attendance with the long-running daytime series being honored as it enters its 50th year, as TheWrap previously reported.

The parade will air on KTLA in Los Angeles, as well as the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. The celebrations are also expected to bring traffic delays to the area.

Below is a full list of street closures and the times that they are occurring, according to the Hollywood Christmas Parade website:

• Hollywood Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to Orange Street from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

• Hawthorne Avenue, DeLongpre Avenue, Fountain Avenue from La Brea Avenue to Highland Avenue from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• El Cerrito Place from Hollywood Boulevard to Franklin Avenue from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

• Sycamore Street, Orange Street from Franklin Avenue to Fountain Avenue from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• Sunset Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to Highland Avenue from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

• East side of La Brea Avenue from Hollywood Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

• Highland Avenue from Franklin Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• Hollywood Boulevard from Highland Avenue to Gower Street from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• Vine Street from Franklin Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• Sunset Boulevard from Highland Avenue to Gower Street from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
