Paramount Promotes Equal Opportunity Possession in ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’ Trailer (Video)

The demon that haunted white families in the last four “Paranormal Activity” movies has finally discovered California’s Latino population

The spinoff/sequel (or whatever you want to call a franchise film that defies numerical progression) follows a teenager (Andrew Jacobs) living in a rough neighborhood in Oxnard, Calif., where he regularly gets bullied by thugs. After investigating a crime scene, however, he becomes “marked” and begins being bullied by a new foe: an evil demon that wants to possess his body.

The good news in this horrific found-footage scenario is that the demon appears to be protective of its potential human host, and beats up those bothersome bullies.

Paramount Pictures is rolling out “The Marked Ones” on Jan. 3. Meanwhile, “Paranormal Activity 5” is scheduled to be released next October.
