‘Homeland’ Season 2: Producer Howard Gordon Hints at What’s Ahead (Video)

"Homeland" producer Howard Gordon gives a hint — a small hint — of what is ahead in season two of the Emmy-winning series

"Homeland" producer Howard Gordon took home two of the series' four Emmy Awards Sunday night, but earlier on the red carpet in the 94-degree heat, he talked a bit about what to look forward to in the new season.

"We're very excited about it," he told TheWrap, adding that they shot scenes in Israel that double as Beirut in the show.

"Moving forward, we discover that Carrie has an asset abroad in Beirut that she cultivated years and years ago, and, it turns out, will only talk to her," he said.

"Homeland" stars David Harewood, Mandy Patinkin and Diego Klattenhoff hit the red carpet together, celebrating the freshman show's nine nominations.

"The success of the first season has taken everyone by surprise," said Harewood, who admitted he is a fan of Emmy rival "Breaking Bad."

But it was Patinkin who had something to "say" about the new season, which starts on Sunday.
