Howard Lee Named Senior VP of TLC

The man responsible for ‘Cake Boss’ and ‘Sister Wives’ gets a promotion

Howard Lee has been named senior vice president of production and development of TLC, the network announced Wednesday.

Lee, who most recently served as East Coast vice president of production and development, joined TLC in 2009.

In his new capacity, Lee will oversee TLC's bicoastal production team, reporting to TLC general manager Amy Winter.

Announcing Lee's promotion, Winter said, "Howard has been the driving force for some of TLC's most successful programming choices, including fan-favorite 'Cake Boss' and the groundbreaking 'Sister Wives.' He is skilled at heartfelt storytelling and creating remarkable real-life characters, and he'll be instrumental in moving the network forward."

Lee was part of the team that managed the final season of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," and launched "Toddlers & Tiaras" and "The Little Couple," which he executive-produces.
