Howard T. Owens, who has been with Reveille LLC since its beginning in 2002, will step down as managing director, the company announced Friday.
Owens will continue full-time with Reveille through June and will serve as a consultant for the rest of the year, concluding his roles on current productions and helping in the search for his successor.
"I am very proud of what has been achieved at Reveille and of the growing slate of shows across many platforms that the company boasts," Owens said. "My time at Reveille has been very rewarding, however, I think it’s time for new people with a different vision to take it to the next level. I am incredibly excited about the opportunities ahead and, after a handover period, hope to work with the incredible team here again in the future.”
Owens formed Reveille's early inner circle along with Mark Koops, Chris Grant and founder Ben Silverman. The company was acquired by Shine in 2008.
Reveille produces such shows as "MasterChef," "The Biggest Loser," "The Office," "Ugly Betty," and "The Tudors." It completed one of its most successful pilot seasons with three pilot pickups.
Owens is the co-creator and co-executive producer of NBC’s "The Restaurant," Bravo’s "Blow-Out" and MTV’s "Date My Mom" and "Parental Control." Before joining Reveille, he was an agent in the corporate consulting and television-packaging divisions at the William Morris Agency.
