HRTS Plays Ball With Scully

Dodgers’ longtime announcer to speak at Nov. 10 luncheon.

The voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Vin Scully, will speak and take part in a Q&A at November’s HRTS Newsmaker Lunch.

The Hollywood Radio & Television Society’s lunch, to be held 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, is chaired by HRTS board member Andy Friendly.

Coming just days after the conclusion of the World Series, the HRTS lunch honors the man recently voted greatest sportscaster of all time by 500 sportswriters and broadcasters around the country.

Scully just completed his 60th year calling Dodger games and extended his contract through next season. He joined the Brooklyn Dodgers’ broadcast team in 1950 and has been affiliated with the team ever since.
