Discovery/Hasbro’s Hub Adds a Pop Culture Show

Highlighting Hub programs as well as music and entertainment from outside the network, “Hubworld” joins the line-up for the channel’s October lanch

Upcoming children's network The Hub has added a "pop culture magazine" for kids called "Hubworld," President and CEO Margaret Loesch announced on Thursday.

Hosted by "Cupcake Wars" star Justin Willman, the show will highlight Hub programs as well as music and entertainment from outside the network.

A joint venture between Discovery Communications and toy company Hasbro, The Hub will debut Oct. 10. Produced by Hasbro in association with Natural 9 Entertainment, "Hubworld" joins 10 other original series and U.S premieres already announced for the channel, including many based on Hasbro properties.

The lineup so far includes “Dan Vs.,” “Family Game Night,” “G.I. Joe Renegades,” “My Little Pony Friendship is Magic,” “Pictureka!” “Pound Puppies,” “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour,” “The Adventures of Chuck and Friends,” “Clue” and “Transformers Prime.”

Kathy Samuels, who has worked on the adult entertainment newsmagazines "Entertainment Tonight" and "Access Hollywood" will executive produce.
