Hugh Hefner has found "The One."
The 84-year-old Playboy founder's lifelong quest for true love has led him to Crystal Harris, a 24-year-old model who, coincidentally enough, was the featured model in the magazine's December 2009 issue — an honor known as "Playmate."
It's the third marriage for Hefner, who separated from former "Playmate" Kimberly Conrad in 1998 and filed for divorce just last year (Hefner's 11-year divorce process included a bevy of awkward, public dalliances with several young women that came to light, including — coincidentally enough — more Playboy "Playmates").
Ever demure about his personal life, Hefner announced his latest engagement on Twitter.
"After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve," Hefner tweeted. "When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
Feeling the need to clarify that "the ring" was not some kind of mystical trinket that holds the secrets to lifelong hypersexuality, he tweeted:
"Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn't mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all."
