IFC Midnight Acquires Slasher Film ‘Saint’ at Tribeca

The movie imagines Santa Claus as a murderous bishop

IFC Midnight has acquired domestic distribution rights to the slasher film "Saint."

The company picked up Dick Maas's movie from XYZ Films on the eve of its Tribeca Film Festival premiere.

It's a horror film that imagines Santa Claus as a murderous bishop.

Maas wrote the screenplay, directed the movie and, with Tom de Mol, produced.

The Dutch film stars Huub Stapel and Egbert-Jan Weeber.
