"Diff'rent Strokes" actor pleads guilty to a lesser charge, landing him a fine, classes, and possible jail time
CBS's 'Three Rivers' Dries Up
As expected, CBS has pulled the plug on "Three Rivers," the first-year hospital drama starring ex-"Moonlight" vampire Alex O'Louglin.
The network will stop showing the first-year medical drama, effective immediately. Repeats of CBS crime dramas will take its place in the 9 p.m. Sunday slot.
UPDATE: Actually, CBS just clarified that (mostly) original episodes of "Cold Case" will replace "Rivers," with crime repeats at 10. (This makes our scenario below look even more plausible). The three-hour "Survivor" finale will fill most of Sunday on Dec. 20, while the Eye will repeat a "Jesse Stone" TV movie on Dec. 27).
Technically, no decision has been made on its long-term future. But unless CBS has its worst development season ever, it's hard to see the network picking up the show for another season come May. "Rivers" has been a ratings weakling for CBS, failing to hold on to its "Amazing Race" lead-in.
"Rivers" will complete production on its initial 13 episode order.
Long-term, one possible scheduling scenario has the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced medical drama formerly known as "Miami Trauma" bowing on Sunday. It could either replace "Three Rivers," or CBS might opt to shift "Cold Case" back to its old 9 p.m. slot and debut the new show at 10.
Meanwhile, CBS executives should expect plenty of angry e-mails from Team Alex. Those folks aren't going to be happy about their man being dumped by the Eye yet again.

CBS at one time was my favorite. Since the departure of William Peterson from CSI (and I know it was his decision), the cancellation of Moonlight and Three Rivers, the station has begun to SUCK!!!

I'm getting a little tired of CBS taking shows that appeal to mature audiences and not giving them a season or two to get their audience. Shall we talk Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, then Moonlight, then Three Rivers? Anything that seems to make us think or be involved in social issues can't seem to hit the mark or isn't given a chance. Come on, even Friends wasn't a hit at first but the series was given a chance and look what happened for them. I'm tired of reality shows, and crime shows even though I love the latter. Drama with comedy or visa versa. You do have a thinking audience out here.

um..NOT FAIR!!! The show was great! It was funny and serious at the same time! I mean ya they didnt probe so much into the characters personal lives but for all you people that trash it, its just because ur nosey as hell and gotta know all the details. I love ncis but im officially boycotting watching CBS until they bring 3 rivers back. This is ridiculous. You can't exactly air a show on a Sunday night during football season and expect the ratings to go through the roof. You people, CBS, disgust me.

CBS has done it again to a great show. I loved Alex in it and the other actors we just fantastic. Why does CBS do this to a good show, I think they put this on Sunday night from the beginning to see it fail. It was doomed from the beginning because critics were trashing it even before it aired. I feel that CBS has done wrong to a good show like this..Maybe fans of Alex, Kate and the rest need to let CBS know to give this show a chance and move it to another night and a better time slot. Fans of Three Rivers unite!!

It just wasn't good enough and CBS counted on hunky Alex O to bring in the fans. It didn't happen.

Alex O'Loughlin's fans aren't the only ones who are ticked off! Kate Moennig's fans are extremely pissed, too! All the Kate fans eagerly awaited this show and followed it from the first reports of Kate getting signed onto the show all the way up until now and the Kate fans are all unanimously pissed at how CBS has been treating Kate and her character!
The advertising for this show was extremely misleading, making people believe Kate was going to have a large/equal-sized role to Alex's and that turned out to be not the case at all! They treated Kate like a glorified recurring character with the pitiful amount of screentime and totally crappy storylines they gave her!
Creator Carol Barbee talked about how they had to literally BEG Kate to be on the show - and for WHAT?! So her character could get shoved off to the side so poor Alex wouldn't look like the horrible actor he is compared to her! What a joke! What a shame. Kate deserved better than this waste of time.
