However 32 years ago the Santa Monica justice system did get past the details of the alleged rape and Polanski served 42 days in Chino and then the prison officials wanted to let him go.

Just because Polanski is a foreign famous artist does not give the Santa Monica Judge Laurence J Rittenband a license to illegally take Polanski's right to deportation away, or illegally punish him, which is discrimination on the basis that he is not American.

Polanski was not facing punishment he was facing ILLEGAL PUNISHMENT and that is why he fled. The ELECTED JUDGE WAS ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT HOW HE LOOKED TO THE PUBLIC, HE DID NOT CARE ABOUT ACTING FAIRLY.

Also Dick Jones is into wishing and inciting HARM when he states " stop trying to obstruct justice and give this man what he deserves maybe one of those prisoners will insert him with something."

Brian, my family was torn apart by my ex-wife's use of meth. My son still suffers to this day and if it wasn't for me being as responsible as I am, he would be in a foster home thanks to her.

So if you knowingly sold chemicals to people who were using your products to make meth -- or even if you were suspicious of it -- you should be held accountable for helping to destroy the lives of good people. If you turned a blind eye, you're guilty.

I don't see how you can say it is bullying and threatening when we're talking about CRIMES here. People break the law and then the U.S. pressures the government to extradite people and that is somehow wrong? Are you kidding?

And why do you think that Polanski would not get a fair trial? The government has been trying to reason with him and get him back for years. At one point, they had even set up a plan where he would come back to L.A., be taken directly to the courthouse from the airport, and sentenced with time served. But Polanski turned down the deal.

And yes, he was guilty. He has admitted guilt, but was allowed to be given a plea bargain due to the circumstances. Honestly, I wouldn't blame the U.S. if they just gave him a slap on the wrist and I wouldn't blame them for throwing him in jail. I could understand it either way and it's not an easy decision.

A lot of people correctly argue that his celebrity status should not affect his legal standing. This is true.

Ironically, though, everyone making this argument is doing so in order to justify his extradition.

Los Angeles is a city in which only 39% of all murderers end up getting arrested. It has bigger fish to fry. Does anyone actually think that the LA DA's office would still care about this case if Polanski weren't a celebrity?

Polanski raped and sodomized a child he also gave her drugs and booze and worst of all he ran from justice he should be flown back here to face his justice just because he is a movie director does not give him a pass what if he did that to any of your children would he get a pass then. So what if 30 years went by do you think that 13 year old forgot about it besides with all the bleeding heart librals in california and the white house he will do a few years if any time so stop trying to obstruct justice and give this man what he deserves maybe one of those prisoners will insert him with something.

There is intense pressure but a glimmer of hope in the Appeal Court.

Lets hope the higher court can correct the dysfunctional and corrupt Justice system in Santa Monica Courthouse.

CALIFORNIA JUSTICE SHOULD PRACTICE WHAT IT PREACHES - IF NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW

BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING CURRENTLY- AND SOME CALIFORNIAN PEOPLE ARE ABOVE THE LAW, AND PROTECTED BY THE LAW IN CALIFORNIA, because if you work for a California school and sexually assault your student from behind in a class - the POLICE, & County of Los Angeles Santa Monica JUSTICE system will aid and abet the school & sexually assaulting teacher to cover up the sexual assault, and if the victim complains of the sexual discrimination and cover up THE JUSTICE SYSTEM will further assault and batter the victim of sexual assault, in a staged "hearing" at Santa Monica Courthouse designed to exclude due process of law, and silence the lamb.

But if you don't work for California –and instead you are a French/Polish citizen you don't get a free pass like the California school photography teacher...instead in Santa Monica Courthouse you are faced with a different slant where the Judge will take away your civil rights through illegal Judicial coercion, discrimination, and you are forced to flee Los Angeles not because you do not want to face punishment, but because you need to flee from a Santa Monica Judge's illegal punishment in coercing you to agree to deportation.

AND SO THERE'S THE RUB, THE DUPLICITY, THE HYPOCRISY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES SANTA MONICA COURTHOUSE WHERE JUSTICE IS NEITHER BLIND, NOR KIND, BUT WHERE INSTEAD JUSTICE IS A BULLY THAT IS OUT OF CONTROL!

Polanski will never get a fair trial in the US after 32 years, his plea bargain back then does not make him guilty as the US has a 97% plea bargain rate and many people plea bargain as they are afraid of a lifetime in prison.

The US is bullying and threatening all it allies when they do not conform to US law. This situation is not in the interests of the rest of the world just the US.

The UK Government are not fit for purpose either: They have taken away UK citizens rights to a fair trial and over 2,000 new laws in 10 years.
