Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Sela Ward were among the stars who hit the stage at CinemaCon on Thursday to introduce a new sneak peek at “Independence Day: Resurgence.”

The new footage included more details on the plot, in which the aliens who were defeated in Roland Emmerich’s 1996 film return in full force to destroy all of Earth.

“They like to get the landmarks,” Goldblum’s scientist character says toward the end after multiple scenes of major skyscrapers and familiar sites toppling.

Goldblum was in his typical eccentric form on stage at Caesars Palace when discussing the new footage, which he described as “delicious.”

Fox emphasized the “girl power” in the movie. Ward plays the U.S. President in the upcoming action sequel. Ward chimed in: “I felt I’d be such a badass President I thought I’d throw my hat into the ring! Yeah!”

The footage included a photo reference to Will Smith, who appeared in the 1996 original but is MIA for the sequel.  And playing his son is Jesse T. Usher (“When the Game Stands Tall”).

The planet is in peril again as aliens invade via their own gravity sphere. And it’s time to get nervous.

Before director Roland Emmerich joined the cast onstage in Las Vegas, Fox shared why one co-star couldn’t make it to the event: “Liam Hemsworth re-injured his back and couldn’t be with us today.”

He injured his ankle on the set of “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” in 2014 — which may be the initial injury to which Fox referred.

“Independence Day: Resurgence” hits theaters June 24.
