‘Inside Out’ Trailer: Pixar Teases an Emotional Trip Down Memory Lane (Video)

The animated film features Amy Poehler, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling voicing a little girl’s emotions

Sometimes, the most important journey in life can be one through the mind.

In the newest trailer for Pixar movie “Inside Out,” we see what happens when emotions Joy (Amy Poehler) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) get pulled into the long-term memories of a little girl named Riley.

Riley is already having a rough time, as her father recently uprooted the family and moved them to San Francisco for a new job. And with Joy and Sadness out of commission, that leaves Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Anger (Lewis Black) in charge of Headquarters.

Joy and Sadness must make their way through Riley’s memories, with a quick stop-over in Imagination-Land and Dream Studios, in order to help her adjust to her new life and home.

Peter Docter directed “Inside Out.” He has collaborated with the studio on a number of their biggest hits, including “Toy Story,” “Monsters Inc.” and “Up.”

“Inside Out” will hit theaters on June 19.
