“Insidious Chapter 3,” the next installment in the low-budget horror franchise, will hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
Focus Features made the announcement Monday. It’s one of the first films slotted by Universal’s specialty unit since it last month merged with Film District, which released the first two “Insidious” movies.
The original cost $1.5 million and took in $97 million worldwide in 2011. The second, “Insidious Chapter 2,” cost $5 million and brought in $148 million globally in September.
