‘Scream Queens’ Star Jamie Lee Curtis Re-Creates Mom Janet Leigh’s Iconic ‘Psycho’ Shower Scene

Ryan Murphy wrote a frame-by-frame replica into an upcoming episode of Fox horror comedy

Jamie Lee Curtis is paying homage to her mother Janet Leigh’s iconic role in “Psycho,’ with a little help from Ryan Murphy.

The “Scream Queens” creator and his star collaborated on a frame-by-frame recreation of Leigh’s famous shower scene, wherein Norman Bates gets knife happy in a roadside motel.

“Just recreated, with help from the amazing crew, a shot by shot of my mothers famous shower scene from Hitchcock’s PSYCHO for @screamqueensfox #screamqueens Ryan Murphy and co. wrote it into a special episode and it felt right!” Curtis wrote on Instagram.

“Honoring the Royal legend that is/was/will always be, Janet Leigh. Thought all fans of the genre would love it! #honorthymother.”

Curtis stars in the new slasher comedy as a hard-edged college dean struggling with a campus serial killer and a super-bitchy rival in sorority leader Emma Roberts.

“Scream Queens,” which premieres September 22, also stars Keke Palmer, Ariana Grande, Skyler Samuels, Billy Lourde, Nick Jonas and Abigail Breslin.
