Jason Segel will play "Undercover Cop" for DreamWorks.
The "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star is attached to the '80s era cop comedy that is inspired by real life events. It focuses on a cop who infiltrates the New Jersey underworld.
Segel's next big project is a reboot of "The Muppets."
Jason Micallef ("Butter") will write the script.
Film Rite’s Steve Zaillian will produce and Garrett Basch will executive produce.
