Do not come between Jennifer Lawrence and “Homeland.”
It was shaping up to be a glorious moment for “The Hunger Games” star as she was introduced on the Screen Actors Guild Awards’ red carpet to Damian Lewis, better known as to Showtime audiences as Nicholas Brody.
But before she could say “Abu Nazir,” two reporters spoiled the fate of the terrorist/C.I.A. agent. It turns out Lawrence had only made it through the first two seasons of the pay-TV hit and was unaware of a major plot point involving Lewis’ character. She was not amused.
“I’m not mad,” a visibly distraught Lawrence said. “I feel like my heart just fell out.”
Her freak-out over the revelation may be the most genuine moment of this year’s awards season. Be warned, however, do not watch the video unless you’re caught up on “Homeland” or else you may get as pissed as Katniss.
