Jennifer Lawrence on 'Letterman': 'You Can Only Sh-t Your Pants So Many Times' (Video)

“I thought I had an ulcer, and it turns out it was a fulcer,” ‘The Hunger Games’ star says of messy medical condition

Jennifer Lawrence would seem to be lead a pretty charmed life, but sometimes things can be downright crappy for her.

Lawrence, whose “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is poised to rake in boatloads of cash at the box office, dropped in at “Late Show With David Letterman” on Wednesday to discuss a range of topics, including a recent illness that created quite the messy situation for her.

“I thought I had an ulcer, and it turns out it was a fulcer,” Lawrence told Letterman. “I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks, and you can only s— your pants so many times a day before you have to go to the emergency room, before you're like, ‘I need to go to the hospital.”

“It's like talking to Helen Hayes!” Letterman quipped.

That wasn't the only bit of over-sharing that Lawrence did during the sitdown. The actress also told Letterman about undergoing  a procedure “an endescopo-something” (it's a real medical term, look it up), and her initial condition as she began to emerge from her anesthesia-induced stupor.”

“The first lucid conversation I remember having was about the Kardashians,” Lawrence recalled. “And then I put my hand on the anesthesiologist's chest and said, ‘Will you please just promise me something? Will you promise me that you'll watch ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'?”

She's hilarious. Guessing her workload's got her a bit loopy. Hope the stomach issues aren't serious!

Being very natural comes easy for her. One of the reasons real people like her, she tells it like it is..

    • Boring

Telling it like it is means speaking truth to power. It doesn't mean giggly crass juvenile poopy talk because you're too illiterate and uninteresting to talk about anything better. Unless you're a robot, we're all “real people.” Real is a euphemism for don't be too good so we don't feel bad about being so mediocre. She's good for the aim low crowd.
